Swim Team Guidelines

1. Swim practice will be every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 5:15 a.m. - 6:45 a.m. starting on Monday, October 17. Swimmers MUST attend ALL practices. If a swimmer needs to miss a practice, they must contact one of the coaches.
2. OAC swimmers must attend at least 1 high school practice each week and ALL OAC practices.
3. Missed practices
   1. 1st time- Warning
   2. 2nd time- Swimmer will be placed on probation and will not be eligible to swim at the next swim meet.
   3. 3rd time- Swimmer will be dismissed from the team. All money paid and any equipment or apparel will also be forfeited.
4. All swimmers should arrive prior to 5:15 a.m. and be ready to enter the pool at 5:15 a.m. Coaches need swimmers to be prompt so that practice isn’t delayed..
5. If a student can’t attend a morning practice for any reason, they can attend the evening practice(s) with the middle school team. You must get permission from one of the coaches prior to attending any middle school practice to make up for a missed high school practice.I will share middle school practice times as needed.
6. All athletes must self-monitor prior to arrival at practice. If COVID symptoms are present, athletes must stay home. Please notify coaches if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID.
7. All paperwork and a copy of your insurance card must be turned in to Coach Trull or Mrs. Jennifer Roberts. In addition, a current physical must be on file before a swimmer will be allowed to participate in any practices.
8. All team owned equipment (bags, fins, paddles, parkas, etc.) should be checked out from Coach Trull at the beginning of the season and then returned at the end of the season. Any equipment not returned at the end of the season will be charged to the swimmer’s account at school.
9. We will host 5 home swim meets this season at the local YMCA. The team needs all the parent volunteers we can get to ensure that these meets are a success.
10. We will be having a Hog-N-Bones fundraiser this season. Tickets will be given to the swimmers later this month.
